year's dinner on Friday, December 5, 2008 as a wonderful way to start the Christmas season.
It has given me so much pleasure to see the Schoolhouse
delivered into the safe keeping
of the Ontario Heritage Trust.
Over the past thirty years successive boards of directors
and staff have done a truly
admirable job of preserving and
programming the Schoolhouse but more resources are now
needed so the Schoolhouse can
can continue to bring an
important chapter in our history to life.
They should be congratulated for having played a leadership
role in preserving an important
historic building at a time when many of the city's heritage
structures have been lost.
