Annual General Meeting and Special Lecture

Are you missing the dining out experience these days? Join writer and educator James Thompson as he shares his work in progress, Dining in Babylon: Toronto’s Lost Restaurants. Discover some of Toronto’s late great restaurants; from the days when people enjoyed a convivial and crowded dining experience.  James describes their uniqueness, their contribution to our city’s cultural landscape, as well  as reasons for their demise.

James Thompson has been teaching adults since 2006. He teaches courses on History, Art, Politics, and Toronto’s past at various Adult Education/continuing studies centres around the city. He has a History M.A. from Durham University, UK. He also has an Art History diploma from the Courtauld Institute in London. He also has his B.Ed. from OISE.
